English spots are active and playful and have a wonderful temperment, which makes them a fun breed. They are a challenging breed to raise, because not all are marked and it is difficult to get one that is marked very well. They may be difficult, but to check the nest box to see what the doe has had makes them fun also. English spots are either self's (solid color), charlie's (mostly white with colored ears, partial butterfly and some other partial marking, like spine marking, cheek spots or few side spots) or marked (full butterfly and spine marking all the way to the tail and side spots). Not all marked are showable and self's and charlie's are not showable, but are useful in a breeding program.

Marked to Marked = 50% marked, 25% self and 25% charlies

Marked to Self = 50% marked, 50% self
